To help determine the appropriate level, the shoe incorporates a toe-ring indicator into the upper. While wearing the shoe, the user simply lifts their big toe upward toward this reference point. When the toe can just reach the indicator without excessive effort, it provides a simple visual indication that the selected insole level may be appropriate for the user's condition.

The modular insole works within a consistent footwear platform that incorporates a wide anatomical toe box, zero-drop footbed, geometric bubble-node outsole for cushioning and traction, integrated toe-ring indicator, simple pull tabs, and breathable construction.

Rather than creating four separate shoes for four levels of intervention, the system allows the user to retain the same shoe and modify the interface between the foot and the footwear through the interchangeable insoles.
